Starting Keto

There is so much information out there, it can be difficult to find your way through it.

At some point, you need to just stop, take a deep breath and dive in with someone you can trust to help you find your perfect way to Keto.

The person who is going to be the best placed to know what is best for you is YOU! Trust me, you will soon find the confidence to trust your own instincts again. If you are anything like me, at some point you lost your way and food took hold of the reins. When the cravings hit, you feel powerless to resist them?

I am a food addict and my drug of choice was mostly that unholy trinity of fat, sugar and salt in all its myriad forms. I was always either on a guilty, downward spiral of overeating my drug of choice and sleeping or an uphill struggle of battling against cravings on a diet. Being awake was often painful and I just wanted to escape into food and sleep and a fantasy of what my life could be like if I was miraculously slim all of a sudden. Life was basically just a battle in one way or another.

I have lost half my bodyweight and ended up at Keto via a somewhat tumultuous path through weight loss surgery, plastic surgery, the Dukan Diet and low carb.

I want to help you find your perfect Keto and am going to start building a collection of resources for you on this website as well as recording some useful tidbits to put on my YouTube channel. You may well have found your way here via the podcast episode I recorded with Kim and Carrie. If not, check it out – it’s a whopper, so I had to split it into two parts!

I’m a Questioning Rebel [Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies – have you read it? You need to!] so I always have to find my own way to do things via mountains of research. You can do that too. Keto is totally free. That is why Weight Watchers and the like are so threatened by it!

It takes time though to wade through it all and find what is going to work best for you so if you want someone else to do that bit for you then I would very much like to recommend a program that has been built by and is run by two very good friends of mine, Kim Howerton and Carrie Brown.

I’ll tell you something that I found very touching during the first round launch of this program. Kim and Carrie received multiple gifted memberships for people who wanted to join but couldn’t afford too. I think that speaks volumes about both the people in the community and the course itself. What a validation that is to not only buy it for yourself but want to pay it forward to someone else.

There are many courses out there and they vary both in price and content. What everyone wants (and deserves) is value for money. I’ll let you judge for yourself where this course sits in that range but I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Of course there are lots of fabulous recipes by Carrie Brown that are all easy to make and delicious.
